Happy Thursday, friends! Let’s have some fun today with Pink Shirts on Pam.<\/p>\n
As you can see here, Pink Shirts on Pam is inspired by one of my favorites...Green Eggs and Ham<\/em> by Dr. Seuss.<\/p>\n Just five years ago, you would have heard me say…I do not like to wear pink shirts, nor graphic tees, nor even skirts. <\/em><\/p>\n I do not like them, Sam I am…not in a box, not in a frock…I do not like them…not on Pam.<\/em><\/p>\n So, it is rather funny that lo and behold, pink is now in my best colors…( I have also changed my mind about graphic tees and skirts…more to come on these).<\/p>\n Proving, that with fashion it is always a good thing to have an open mind….you never know when you might see things differently.<\/p>\n Let’s probe pink shirts on Pam a bit further. Of course, Sam-I AM can join along.<\/p>\n PINK SHIRTS ON PAM: SHADES OF PINK<\/strong><\/p>\n For Valentine’s Day, Mr. B suggested that we go explore downtown Abilene a little more.<\/p>\n There were a couple of places I wanted him to see…one being this new shop, Oakstreet on First<\/strong><\/a>…gorgeous antiques, and home to some of my favorite local vendors.<\/p>\n It being Valentine’s Day, I decided to wear pink….and I reached for an older pink shirt, I have owned awhile.<\/p>\n As I looked over my pictures, the shade of pink just did not seem right.<\/p>\n These are my best pinks in my spring palette with Geranium Pink and Flamingo Pink at the top of the list.<\/p>\n The color from Chico’s last year that I fell so hard for matched Flamingo Pink perfectly.<\/p>\n And I just feel vibrant and alive in this shade of pink shirts.<\/p>\n I do hope I can find a few more in this shade or similar.<\/p>\n There are a few pieces in Dried Roses remaining at Chico’s….Clearance Items in Dried Roses.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n I already have a few of these.<\/p>\n But as I said, my goal for purchasing is to go warm and bright…so unless the softer pink shirts are very special, I will be looking more for shades like the three star colors.<\/p>\n PINK SHIRTS ON PAM: OUR DATE<\/strong><\/p>\n Our compass was pointed toward downtown, and though this is a small town, it is a fun town.<\/p>\n We shopped, and then walked through one of the storybook gardens.<\/p>\n I asked him for the Dr. Seuss garden because I am such a fan.<\/p>\n And I was able to teach him about some of the ones unfamiliar to him.<\/p>\n You gotta love Horton…a person’s a person, no matter how small.<\/p>\n You can see it was muddy…and cool on this day. We had just experienced a cold front with rain going through the night before.<\/p>\n That made the garden a bit more challenging, so we went across the street (after some shopping)….<\/p>\n And traded in green eggs & ham for delicious calamari! This was the highlight of the meal for me…so good.<\/p>\n And we completely enjoyed our reservations at Cypress Street Station.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n This upscale restaurant was completely booked and we were luck to get reservations for the middle of the afternoon. Valentine’s evening was no-go.<\/p>\n Oh yes, and what did we buy when shopping? Paintings…one for home and one for his office. He was so excited, he drove it to his office and hung it that day.<\/p>\n We found these at Living Chic.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n This week, I have explained my Spring Palette shopping goals for this year, so thank you for joining in for Pink Shirts on Pam.<\/p>\n I hope to see more new arrivals soon with some of my best colors on the rack…believe me you will know when I do….and I am hopeful a variety of colors will serve all of our palettes.<\/p>\n For now, I have put the latest finds in MY SHOP<\/strong><\/a>, in a collection called Corals, Pinks and New Shoes.
