We have a lot of snow here in western KY but still have power and do not have to go out. Proverbs 31 was the topic of my grandmother’s funeral many, many years ago. I also paraphrased it on a scroll to honor my mother on her 80th birthday. I love your idea of praying over it verse by verse as I have always thought it to be a lofty goal I could never reach. But with God all things are possible.

Living in the Midwest, we do get our share of snow, but there is always something so peaceful about watching God cover the landscape with a pristine blanket of white. We had seven plus inches this morning, but I am sure there is much more now. It is light fluffy snow, so power outages shouldn’t be a problem. I am praying for all those who in the path of the ice storm, as that is much more dangerous.

I am happy that you are enjoying the beauty of the snow. Yes , every flake is different, just like all of us. The world is clothed in beauty, strength, and dignity from the point of view of the watchers who are lucky enough to be snug, cozy, and safe. There are many other people to pray for as well, as we all know. May everyone here, especially Celia, who is losing a friend, be aware of the fragility of life.

At 81, too many dear ones have passed before. Women must be strong as we bare and raise the children. But we also most of us must be educated and work in a profession, still cook and clean. Our days are long but we laugh, read stories to our kids and grandchildren, say goodbye to friends who pass ahead of us. We give hope and live with joy and love in our hearts. Good lessons today. It snowed here as well, only a couple of inches but beautiful like a snow globe. I love the snow.

Thank you for the message this week. I’ve read Proverbs 31 several times and its time for another reading. Glad you are enjoying the snow and I hope you do not get an ice storm. We had some ice overnight Its melted now but temps are dropping and there’s a chance for more. Hope everyone stays safe.
