Happy Saturday! Let’s look over a few of the 2026 Standouts in Winter New Arrivals.
Winter new arrivals have been coming in daily and there are some lovely pieces …perhaps some of you have gift cards from the holidays.
I try to look over the brands I know this audience frequents and perhaps toss a few extras.
So, let’s begin with the 2026 Standouts in winter new arrivals and see if any fit your own unique style.
2026 STANDOUTS IN WINTER NEW ARRIVALS: TALBOTS
Since Talbots catalog of winter new arrivals motivated this post, let’s begin there.
I found several selections I would call standouts and Talbots is helping me to love floral prints more and more.
Let’s start with the feature outfit on the cover of the catalog.
This is the JACOBEAN JACQUARD CREWNECK SWEATER and while I am working on this, it appears to be selling fast.
Talbots topped it off in style with a beautiful jacket in the winter new arrivals.
This is the FAUX SUEDE JACKET.
I like this whole outfit…it really fits what I am going for with my own style lately.
The star of this winter new arrivals outfit is the EMBROIDERED DROP SHOULDER SWEATSHIRT in the indigo blue…it does come in a white option.
ANd I like it with the Linden Wash Slim Ankle Jeans….which is the light wash.
And here is another fun look with these jeans which easily goes well into spring.
I like this top a lot.
Talbots has updated this shirt design so that it looks great untucked or tucked.
They added a high-low hem to this relaxed silhouette.
It is the MODERN CLASSIC SHIRT in a print called fashion icons.
For those who love ponchos, this is a beauty in the winter new arrivals.
This is the ROSETTE CHARM PONCHO.
Finally at Talbots, I wanted to show you this beautiful new blue…it is a standout color.
This is the BATEAU NECK TEE in the color Lazulite Heather…there are three other colors.
2026 STANDOUTS IN WINTER NEW ARRIVALS: JC PENNEY
I only saw a couple of pieces at JC Penney in the winter new arrivals that you might want to know about.
Let’s start with this CLARKS SUEDE WOVEN INDOOR/OUTDOOR OUTSOLE WOMENS CLOG SLIPPERS.
This is such a beautiful top with a vibrant color.
It is the LIZ CLAIBORNE WOMENS BOAT NECK SHORT SLEEVE BLOUSE in stunning orchid.
You might also like this LIZ CLAIBORNE TUNIC TOP.
Most Liz Claiborne tops are available in all sizes from petite to tall.
2026 STANDOUTS IN WINTER NEW ARRIVALS: J.JILL
This beautiful, relaxed style is in the winter new arrivals at J.Jill.
While this is available in three colors, I am very interested in this lovely “stone.”
This is the WEAREVER REFINED OTTOMAN TOP.…the pants are at this link for you to click on.
This navy marl pattern in a great looking, soft jacket would easily elevate your denim and is inspired by bomber jackets.
It is the WEAREVER DOUBLE-KNIT JACKET.
J.Jill gets most of us and know that we want some relaxing down time…after the holidays and when cold winds blow.
So they have released two new ultrasoft gowns…and I am in!
The first is the SLEEP ULTRASOFT RELAXED LONG GOWN, and the second is the SLEEP ULTRASOFT A-LINE GOWN.
With a cozy blanket, I am ready to go!

In another post, I shared with you some of the standouts in Chico’s winter new arrivals, but I have found a few more to point out.
I love that this is a tee shirt…how chic…and it comes in two colors.
This is the OTTOMAN CAP SLEEVE TEE.
Chico’s has several transition to warmer weather selections in their winter new arrivals.
This top is perfect for wearing as a button down or as a third piece on top of a tee or cami. It has an elegant feel to it.
It is the STRETCH SATEEN SHIRT and it comes in six colors.
Here is another touch of elegance in the winter new arrivals.
The color English Cream is so nice.
This is the FRINGE OTTOMAN KNIT CARDIGAN.
From elegance to fun, I am naturally drawn to a look like this.
The pants add that touch of fun.
This is the EMME STRAIGHT MOD CROPPED PANTS….looks like these would go through the summer.

Fun looks. I agree, the first Talbots outfit is the standout. When I got my catalog, I was excited, something I haven’t been this last year or so at Talbots. I would agree, it’s close to my new style too, though I would wear a striped sweater under it instead of the (lovely) floral. I’m not buying a thing till my color and style analysis though, and it’s hard because it’s my birthday month (all those gifts and discounts) and the clearance sales are well underway. I’m also dieting, trying to claw back the 8 pounds I gained this year, half coming from eating my way thru Greece, Italy and the perfect storm of adding in the holiday season. A lot of my closet is a tight fit right now, but one thing I no longer do after a lifetime of yo-yo dieting is buy bigger clothes. Sigh … at least I can enjoy “window” shopping along with you.
You can do it, Linda. I would have eaten my through those countries as well…sounds so good. As you wait for your color analysis, I wait for my eye surgeries so I can see the colors better. But these new arrivals are very encouraging for what lies ahead in the fun spring arrivals. You can do it…keep pressing on.

That stone color and also the English Cream are my favorites. I also gained five pounds and need to get back to wearing my jeans comfortably. It all seemed to go in my middle! That Clark’s slipper/shoe tempted me but it doesn’t come in wide and my toes need that wide toe boot. I did but two pairs of Easy Spirit Travelfurr clogs as house shoes/slippers and I love them. They have a lot of colors too!

It’s hard not to buy too much when the new year’s sales are in full force. I fell into Chico’s via your link and didn’t come up for air until I had six items in my cart, but they are all such good buys. Their sizing has been erratic the past few years, so I’m hoping these pieces fit. Pam, be sure you check out the floral Ella v-neck sweater in the color English Cream! I am pretty sure it incorporates some of your best new spring colors. I’m trying it because it also has some of my best colors, but if it reads too “pink” I’ll be returning it. I also got a sweater blazer, a green tweed Chanel style sweater jacket that looks beautiful, some beautiful earrings and a dress I’ve been eyeing since it was full price last summer. Thanks for this timely reminder that we can score some really good deals right now!
