Optimistic Aging Meets Happy Aging

meet Happy Aging

Happy Wednesday, all.  Welcome to a lifestyle post called Optimistic Aging Meets Happy Aging.

Optimistic Aging refers to a series of posts that I am writing now with the intention to keep you focused on optimism and enjoyment during the second half of life.

Because of these posts, I was contacted by a brand called Happy Aging…and I would like you to meet Happy Aging as well.

We learn together and I will let you know how it is going with me.

You can see at the top that I agree with the founders of Happy Aging that we need to retire (good word) the phrase anti-aging and re-think it.

A few years ago, I decided not to write about supplements because I was bombarded with them…every day it was a new brand.

However, I am going to share why I have decided to try the Happy Aging Supplement….with the reminder that I still believe your best scenario is to discuss supplements with your doctor.

OPTIMISTIC AGING MEETS HAPPY AGING: MEET HAPPY AGING FOUNDERS

When I decided to meet Happy Aging, they reached out with this booklet prepared by founders Martha Graeff and Dr. Daniel Yadegar, MD.

I have completed the entire booklet yet…need better glasses now for reading!

Never have I thought that my goal was to live into my hundreds, but my goal has been to experience healthy living…clear thinking, ability to work as long as I like, active, and joyful.

So, I do like what Martha Graeff has written in the opening.

Here is a segment. :

“When we think about longevity, we often focus solely on living longer.  However, true longevity encompasses both lifespan (the number of years we live) and healthspan (the quality of those years).

Healthspan is about living those years with vitality, free from chronic diseases and engaging fully with life.  To approach longevity, from a holistic perspective, we need to understand and confront the causes of what Peter Attia in Outlive refers to as “slow death” –

heart disease, cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and type 2 diabetes/metabolic dysfunction.  Additionally, we must proactively maintain and improve our physical and mental health.”

There is a good amount of information in this booklet…cellular, genetics, hormonal change, etc.  With a plan of action that does include regular checkups.

Some of the information I have read before, but there was new information that I appreciated.

OPTIMISTIC AGING MEETS HAPPY AGING: THE SUPPLEMENT SHOT

After spending time with the founders and the booklet, I was impressed with the knowledge they presented.

Next, I looked at the HAPPY AGING LONGEVITY SHOTS they sent to me to try.

I went online and read reviews and the reviews were positive.

I had heard about resveratrol, but had not researched it before.

Basically, resveratrol is a natural polyphenol antioxidant found in grape skins, berries, and red wine.

High levels of resveratrol are also found in peanuts, pistachios, blueberries, cranberries, and Japanese knotweed.

There are many health benefits:  including reducing inflammation, lowering blood pressure, aiding weight loss, and supporting brain health.

Here are the other ingredients which are in the shot with resveratrol.

meet Happy AgingAt this writing, I have only begun and taken one shot….you just drink the whole bottle and the citrus taste is fine.
Happy Aging recommends two bottles a week.
I will report back as to how it goes and if I plan to continue.

But, until then, I wanted you to meet Happy Aging, so you could do your own research and make your own decisions.
Some of you have confessed to slowing down and fatigue.  You are the ones who motivated me to get this out to you quickly.
I promise to hold true to what I believe and I will not bombard you with every supplement that contacts me.

After my research, this one intrigued me enough to give it a try and the benefits are ones we all can use.  I do want to thank them for making it available for me to try out.

AND IF ANYONE ELSE DECIDES TO TRY IT, THE DISCOUNT CODE PAMELA20 GETS YOU 20% OFF YOUR FIRST ORDER.

Optimistic Aging and maintaining that happy attitude has everything to do with our health.  Perhaps, Happy Aging can help us in that area.

Thanks for joining me today…until next time…..

  1. Aging starts at birth. Everyone on earth is aging at the same rate. Five year olds are aging at the same rate as 75 year olds. Nothing will slow it down. We ALL know to drink water, eat nutritiously dense foods, dont smoke, don’t drink, wear sunscreen, move your body every day. Listen to music, sing. Help others. Wear your seat belt. There are no shortcuts. As I continue to age, as I have done veryday of my life, I am looking forward to Pamela’s new looks and how she wears her colors to maximize her quality of life.

  2. Thank you for sharing this information Pamela. My husband takes resveratrol capsules by Now from Natural Grocers and I will also try taking it. I do eat blueberries, peanut butter and grapes daily but not in the amount offered in the supplement. I hate the word anti-aging because as Anne says we all age. How we look and feel is a large combination of things. Genetics plays a role as well as diet over a lifetime and activity level. My professional life was on the move as a nurse in critical care for 30 years. I rode long distance bicycling until in my 70s and downhill skiing and hiking were favorites. At 81, we still walk a mile a day together. We both have found that two meals a day with one light snack works best for us. My husband was a runner until his knees started to bother him and he switched to bicycling which he still does at 84. My balance is not good enough for a bike anymore and that was why I had to stop skiing as well. But stretching and moving keeps me going even with a chronic pain syndrome and severe arthritis. My philosophy is move it or lose it and maintain a normal weight as well. My Finnish genes have contributed to my health issues but I refuse to be sedentary. Life is precious and movement is part of life.
