The Places I will go in the Go-To Skirt by Ruti

the go-to skirt

Happy Wednesday, friends!  I have another new brand for this audience.  Come with me to The Places I Will Go in the Go-To Skirt by Ruti.

Before I discuss the Go-To Skirt by Ruti, allow me to introduce the brand and why you should check it out.

Now, this is a high-end brand….but stick with me through the post and let’s discuss it…particularly the fun go-to skirt.

First of all, the founder, Ruti Zisser, desired to create an unconventional luxury brand with garments that are comfortable, unconventional, and worn often…thus, creating a low cost per wear for a wardrobe.

Her three rules for design are….it must be cool…it must be practical…and it must be flattering.

I chose to try Ruti with the Go-To Skirt, because it looked comfortable and unique.

I have never owned a skirt like the go-to skirt…but I can see that it will be a go-to for me.

Mr. B is more classic with his style, but I do like to push the envelope occasionally and try new things.

THE GO-TO SKIRT  comes in five colors, and is composed of a lightweight, wrinkle free combination of 78% nylon, and 22% spandex.

It feels so cool and comfortable to wear.

And, I can see me wearing it often in warmer weather…with pink, yellow, salmon, green, ivory…and shorter tops that will easily tuck in.

It will pair nicely with loafers, sneakers or sandals…and I believe can be styled up or down.

I put on the go-to skirt today to go to the Farmer’s Market.

However, on a larger level, this skirt roles up small for packing and roles out with no wrinkles…I tested it.

I can see it walking the streets of Italy or the flea markets in France.  It really is perfect for travel.

And perfect for a cruise.  A nice silky top would be excellent for the evening meals, and a casual top would take it off to peruse a museum.

The versatility is endless.  I know it is different and a little funky..but that is perfect for someone like me.

I do see many places to go in the go-to skirt and also see that it would last a very long time…wash and wear is always attractive in a luxury brand.

I love the cool vibe an outfit like this has.

Ruti is a luxury brand and for items you will wear often,  and for traveling, this does make good sense.

When I go out in my go-to skirt, I will be wearing the aromas of a new go-to brand…NOPALERA,and they have given me a discount code just for you.

I love the scents of this brand that I only met recently…and you can see I will need more soon of the Bosque Místico eau de parfum.

It smells amazing….and so does the CACTUS HAND CREAM…who knew cactus could smell so good and feel so good on the hands.

Of the new brands I have met so far, this one is in the top five!

If you decide to try Nopalera, use the discount code PAMELA15 for 15% off at checkout.

There is just something about this time of year as we transition from winter toward spring, that always has me open to testing new things.

So, this year I have gone all in with testing new fashion and beauty brands.

All I want to do is inform you of what is out there, and then if you want, you can check it out.

It is fun to see what is going on in retail world.

If I did not determine to have an open mind, I might not have tried this skirt…but now…I will look forward to wearing it more.

Tomorrow, is for those of you who asked to see more affordable options for plus size fashions.  I said I would find something for you…and I have.  And the brand does sell, plus size petites.

Hope to see those of you who requested this tomorrow….until then….

  1. I have that exact skirt—same color and everything! I love it because it’s so versatile. Plus, it has an elastic waistband, which I appreciate. I’m looking forward to seeing all the ways you style it.

  2. The skirt is certainly unusual and might take me a minute to get used to it; but I have to say, you look fabulous in it! I do love skirts. Thanks for introducing us to new things. It’s fun!

  3. I am familiar with Ruti, their barrel pants are very popular. I am not a fan of the way they look on me so I do not choose to wear barrel pants or really wide leg pants. I am glad you like the skirt, I like the length, but the shape does not go with my three words classic, sporty, elevated. I have a question about your sunglasses. How did you choose the size? Is oversize the style now? Please wear more bright spring colors. I undertand that all colors in the season compliment each other so mixing and matching should be easy. I am a bright winter and like bold colors on me as opposed to the bold shapes. Thanks

  4. I am so glad I have it now…and I know you also like a bit of unique creative style, Kim!

  5. Discovering new styles is so much fun to me…It also took me a minute, but once I had it on and walked in it, I was a fan! It feels great to wear.

  6. Believe me, Ann, I will be wearing lots of bright colors soon. I am just ending February with a few darker items (like this shirt) and some of my navy pieces. But, get ready…the bright is just around the corner. Yes, oversize is in, but I have always liked oversize. Now that I can wear all types…I plan to have some fun with the different styles. Eyewear is an accessory I have missed.

  7. I’m familiar with this brand and appreciate it, though I don’t not own it (yet). My style consultant urged me to try a pair of not-too-extreme barrel jeans, and this is the brand that comes up over and over as having flattering ones. We will see :). I think it takes a lot more time to design, cut, and finish garments like this so they drape correctly. That said, spending more money for me usually feels easier if I’m buying thick cashmere or a winter coat I will wear a long time. Definitely not when my weight is in such flux, but maybe a “someday” brand. One of my adjectives is “interesting,” and Ruti clothes fit that. I also want, when starting almost from scratch yet again due to weight loss, to curate a smaller closet with really high quality, versatile pieces. I’ve been very disappointed with the prices vs the quality at some of my go-to places; you almost can’t even buy a 100 percent cotton tee anymore, yet that mostly polyester or acrylic tee might be priced at $69. It makes these expensive brands more on my radar than in previous years.

  8. I would like to try their barrel pants…if pants are an exceptional fit and flattering, then spending more for them makes sense…because they will be worn often. As of yet, I have not tried barrel pants that I would reach for often…so I really would like to see if these would be different. I will ponder that. Thanks Linda.

  9. The Ruti go to skirt has been my go to for years. I bought it when I was an 18-20 and loved it throughout the seasons, with boots and with sneakers and sandals. Now, after surgery and significant weight loss (12-14) I have it again, love the heck out of it. I waited for a sale, but at price per wear, it’s paid for itself. It’s fun, easy and so comfortable. The elastic waist makes it forgiving! So happy you are introducing more to this great brand. And btw, you look great in it!

  10. Enjoy your new funky skirt Pam! The idea of boots sounds really good with it and would work for cooler days. It isn’t a style that would work on me as I’m 5’1” tall. Too much fabric would drown me and even the petite is very long. It will be fun to see how you style it for warmer weather. Your rose top would go really good with it.

  11. Thank you for sharing, Kathleen. I can see where this lives a long time in a wardrobe. Thanks again.

  12. I agree on the rose top…and I think I have many tops that would go with it. I will be wearing it often.

  13. Oh, this is so cool. I wish it had a bit less fabric but I would love to try it on. If I thought I could get a good cost per wear out of it, and I had pieces to wear with it, I would consider it. What is the weight of the fabric? What seasons do you see yourself wearing this? I can’t wait to see how you style this going forward with your colors and adjectives .

  14. It is very lightweight, Deborah. I think I can wear it any season, though in cold you might want tights and boots underneath. I will wear it spring and summer with tops in my best colors. It does come in other colors but I like the brown. Very comfy and light
