Pink Shirts on Pam

Happy Thursday, friends! Let’s have some fun today with Pink Shirts on Pam.
As you can see here, Pink Shirts on Pam is inspired by one of my favorites...Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss.
Just five years ago, you would have heard me say…I do not like to wear pink shirts, nor graphic tees, nor even skirts.
I do not like them, Sam I am…not in a box, not in a frock…I do not like them…not on Pam.
So, it is rather funny that lo and behold, pink is now in my best colors…( I have also changed my mind about graphic tees and skirts…more to come on these).
Proving, that with fashion it is always a good thing to have an open mind….you never know when you might see things differently.
Let’s probe pink shirts on Pam a bit further. Of course, Sam-I AM can join along.
PINK SHIRTS ON PAM: SHADES OF PINK

For Valentine’s Day, Mr. B suggested that we go explore downtown Abilene a little more.
There were a couple of places I wanted him to see…one being this new shop, Oakstreet on First…gorgeous antiques, and home to some of my favorite local vendors.
It being Valentine’s Day, I decided to wear pink….and I reached for an older pink shirt, I have owned awhile.
As I looked over my pictures, the shade of pink just did not seem right.

These are my best pinks in my spring palette with Geranium Pink and Flamingo Pink at the top of the list.
The color from Chico’s last year that I fell so hard for matched Flamingo Pink perfectly.

And I just feel vibrant and alive in this shade of pink shirts.
I do hope I can find a few more in this shade or similar.
There are a few pieces in Dried Roses remaining at Chico’s….Clearance Items in Dried Roses.
I already have a few of these.
But as I said, my goal for purchasing is to go warm and bright…so unless the softer pink shirts are very special, I will be looking more for shades like the three star colors.
PINK SHIRTS ON PAM: OUR DATE

Our compass was pointed toward downtown, and though this is a small town, it is a fun town.
We shopped, and then walked through one of the storybook gardens.

I asked him for the Dr. Seuss garden because I am such a fan.
And I was able to teach him about some of the ones unfamiliar to him.

You gotta love Horton…a person’s a person, no matter how small.
You can see it was muddy…and cool on this day. We had just experienced a cold front with rain going through the night before.
That made the garden a bit more challenging, so we went across the street (after some shopping)….

And traded in green eggs & ham for delicious calamari! This was the highlight of the meal for me…so good.
And we completely enjoyed our reservations at Cypress Street Station.
This upscale restaurant was completely booked and we were luck to get reservations for the middle of the afternoon. Valentine’s evening was no-go.
Oh yes, and what did we buy when shopping? Paintings…one for home and one for his office. He was so excited, he drove it to his office and hung it that day.
We found these at Living Chic.
This week, I have explained my Spring Palette shopping goals for this year, so thank you for joining in for Pink Shirts on Pam.
I hope to see more new arrivals soon with some of my best colors on the rack…believe me you will know when I do….and I am hopeful a variety of colors will serve all of our palettes.
For now, I have put the latest finds in MY SHOP, in a collection called Corals, Pinks and New Shoes. Yes, there are collections with other colors.
In conclusion…I DO like green eggs and ham and pink shirts on Pam!
Until tomorrow….

I love to see what you are wearing out and about. I agree, the brighter pinks are better, but the ivory jacket is mostly what we see, which is in your palette and looks terrific on you. And this pink is still a good option as you “wait, don’t settle.” We share that geranium red as a three star color, and my -one- piece in it is getting heavy rotation. I’m curious about your one star colors. My consultant only marked my fan with the three stars, because except for a couple of the very light shades, all the rest of mine were two stars. Maybe because I straddled the line between blue and leaf?
Hi Linda…there are not that many one star colors. Dove Gray (which I do own)…banana…light peach…poppy…..shocking pink…are all colors that work, but not my very best choices. I do own at least one garment in the first three. This blazer was a deep reduction one summer in a Talbots Red Door sale. I am so glad I got it when I did…I have worn it often just to step up my game. Happy Thursday,
The Storybook garden looks like a lot of fun. And you look great in pink. Even the pink that does not really match your best pinks. It lights up your face. Maybe not as much as the Dried Roses but I think you should keep it. BTW, I was looking at Chico’s new collection sneak peak online. There’s nothing for me but I noticed a pink called Hot Honeysuckle that might work for you. I can’t tell from the photo is its bright enough but maybe someone will see it in person and report back. I see Chico’s now has a short sleeve crew neck version of their Ella sweater. I’m hoping they will offer it in more colors. I’ve been wearing fine gauge sweaters rather than tee shirts lately and find I like the slightly more polished look.
I just completed a new collection in My Shop with the standouts from the sneak peaks and of course my eye is on the Hot Honeysuckle. I missed the Ella sweater…so I will go look at that. Thanks Kathie…anyone else can go to https://shopmy.us/shop/pamelalu?Section_id=1770803&tab=collections
to see my standouts in this new collection.
Pam, pink suits you well. It is a happy color, and it lights you up and enlivens you. I love that hot honeysuckle color. Reminds me of a flamingo pink. There are so many shades. so much fun. Can’t wait to see the skirts. 😁
How Fun! I love Horton and would so enjoy a Seussian park of sculptures. If you ever visit Portland, there’s a park honoring Beverly Cleary, the children’s author.
I love your date. Mr. B comes up with some great ideas, and that plate of calamari looked 😋 delicious.
I hope everyone remembers my dear friend, Leigh Ann…she is going to do some field reporting for us today (hopefully) and check out the Hot Honeysuckle color…I trust her eyes…so we will see what she reports back! Thanks Marcia
It was so good. I would be happy with just that and a salad. He did come up with a fun date. Thanks Connie!
The brighter warmer pink definitely suits you. Abilene looks like such a fun place to explore.
I bought a pink shirt last Saturday named “Petunia Blossom”. It is cooler shade of pink that is better for me. I’m looking forward to wearing it soon.
Enjoy bloooming in your new top, Becky!
Looks like several of us have spotted that pretty pink color on Chico’s and thought of you as you search for the right pinks. That pale pink is pretty, but the brighter pink is much better. Abilene does look like a fun and interesting town. Nice to show Mr. B around to some favorite places.
Pam, I really like you in the soft pink as well as the bright pink. The soft pink lightens your look and the bright pink brightens you. Splashy. Both work, in my opinion; but you should wear whatever look suits your mood.
I was wondering how Mr. B likes your new hair color?
He does like my hair! Thanks Cindy. When we were out on this day, it was humid and my hair grows during humidity! I will be wearing the lighter pink and the bold, but I do not plan to purchase any more light punks.
It was fun to finally be able to show him some of my go to places!
